Our director, with John Burrow & Partners at the time, was responsible for the engineering survey of the proposed 120km road from Dodoma to Mtera Dam, involving cross section topographical survey of the proposed centreline through greenfield brushland and forests, and materials sampling. He personally computed all the setting out points to close within 20mm of the closing point on centre line of the dam wall, and walked the entire 120km in directing and supervising two 2nd year university students in the setting out and material sampling.
